The longing and the library
Every month, in the midst of all the mad editing that is performed on the text of the next issue of The Briefing before it goes to layout, equally frenetic preparations are made for the release of the current issue upon the world. The e-Briefing is compiled, the relevant products are added to the store, the list of contents is uploaded, the Briefing monthly enews gets coded and sent out (and if you're not on the list but want to be, you can subscribe online), and a wealth of material is added to both the Briefing Library and The Longing.
The Briefing Library is our collection of dusty digital classics. Over time, we hope to make more of these old articles available online in fulltext. The Longing is a home for all those worthy articles that didn't quite make it into The Briefing—either because they were too long, too ‘niche’, or they just came along at the wrong time.
This month, we present to you the following:
The Briefing Library
- The Hard Ask: Disagreeing with your pastor—John Chapman (Briefing #269)
- How to have a godly argument—Mark Thompson (Briefing #184)
- When Christians disagree—Tony Payne and Phillip Jensen (Briefing #45)
The Longing
- Here I am, talking about Jesus just the same: Larry Norman at 60—Philip Cooney looks back at Larry Norman's life and ministry.
- Look at me! I'm a princess!—Kerrie Newmarch explores our obsession with princesses and why using ‘princess’ themes can be dangerous for Christians.
