This is a simple clear set of studies on what it means to become a follower of Jesus. A great resource for any Christian wanting to help a friend, or family member understand what it means to follow Jesus.

As a deacon at my Church. Doing lots of Baptism prep and evangelistic course follow up this resource is invaluable. I find it simple to use but deep in content and so adds so much weight and depth to prior discussions about what is the Christian faith and what does it look like in its practical outworkings, So very thankful for this 4th edition which has made it so fresh.

I have used this resource lots of times with new Christians, or those who may not have had a strong theological or biblical grounding. It was used the same way with my wife and I shortly after we became Christians. I generally find it is great for grounding the main things strongly, and leads to good chats, again about the main things. It doesn't do everything, but what it does do it does very well I find.

I use this with Christian international students.I guide them in translating these studies (1 at a time) into their own language. This equips and encourages them for ministering to people back in their home countries. They are pretty good at determining how to translate the questions in a culturally relevant manner. Ask them to 'reverse translate' their work to ensure they are on the right track (you don't need to know their language!). Emphasise they are free to improve upon their personal translation as they gain more experience using it. The idea is that they can be effective witnesses to the nations!
