If you want to know and appreciate Jesus more—both who he is and what he has accomplished—Luke is the Gospel author for you. He has done the hard work of researching the history and compiling it into an “orderly account”, structuring the narrative to give us clear access to the truth of Jesus and insights into its profound significance.
In this third of four volumes, which together cover the whole of Luke, pastor and teacher Des Smith walks us through chapters 14 to 19. As Jesus arrives in Jerusalem, we learn what it means to follow him in a fallen world. We see Jesus’ mission and heart for the lost, and we are encouraged to hold on to our faith throughout the trials of life.
This is an ideal guide for individual Bible study or for use in small groups.
Des Smith is married to Suzie and they have four children. Des is the pastor at Trinity Church Lockleys, Adelaide, and has written several other studies in the Interactive Bible Study and Pathway Bible Guide series for Matthias Media.
If you wish to share copies of the study with others, or plan to read out the questions or explanatory text to a group, consider a group licence. A group licence allows for up to 15 copies of a PDF to be shared within one growth group, making it quick and easy to organise. Otherwise, adjust the quantity you're buying to match the number of people participating. Volume discounts still apply to digital files, and these discounts will be automatically applied at checkout.
Please read the full licence information.
Halfway between a sermon and a set of study questions, these studies, written by gifted Bible teachers, provide excellent biblical input and direction while leaving you to do much of the exploration.
Obviously written for beginning students. The questions are very content oriented and my more process oriented participants found them too simple. In contrast the background materials etc., were very good.
