The strength of Two Ways to Live as a gospel outline is that it explains the gospel of Jesus Christ in the context of the overarching story of the Bible, giving the non-Christian hearer or reader all the presuppositions and assumptions they need to grasp the real significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection. In other words, whilst it is a brief and logical presentation, it provides all the foundations a non-Christian needs to know in order to become a Christian.
This is a faithful translation of the recently revised English edition that uses simplified Chinese characters. It is most suited to Chinese speakers with connections to mainland China, Singapore or Malaysia.
I lead Bible study with native Mandarin speakers. We speak in English (I don't speak Chinese) but we use this tract alongside the English version. It helps my group members in understanding. It's wonderful to see them glow as they see how different this gospel message is from the beliefs they grew up with.
There are many Chinese speaking people in Hobart who I have tried to engage with when evangelising but with little progress so far due to language barriers. So, I've begun to carry this Chinese version and, given the opportunity, ask if they can explain what it says, to good effect. The tract does the work of proclaiming the gospel itself.
