This book is published by The Open Word, and is a new English translation of Peter's first letter done specifically for children to understand. The creating team have started from the original Greek in order to get both high accuracy to the original text and high understanding by the targeted age group today. This letter is fully illustrated, with drawings informed by historical research of the time, and carefully laid out for reading fluency.

Peter wrote this letter to encourage Christians not to be embarrassed about Jesus but to stand strong in the kindness of God and live wonderfully good lives in a world that might not like them.

The pictures of this book depict three imagined children from the churches who received Peter's letter. They all lived in different places and had very different lives, but they all knew the kindness of God.
